Who We Are
The YMCA opened its doors in the Lowndes County community in 1967. Since then we have implemented programs to serve our neighbors in aquatics, arts and humanities, child care and early learning, community development and resources, family strengthening, health and well-being, and sports and recreation.
What We Do
The YMCA is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to put Christian principles into practice through programs, services and relationships that build healthy spirit, mind, and body for all.
